Rare find !!

I became a patient less than a year ago and was relieved to have found the perfect doctor from the very first visit. Dr. Jafar provides old-fashioned personal care with new-fashioned expertise, rare in today's medical environment. She is very intelligent, a very good doctor, and a very nice person. Her office manager and assistant complement Dr. Jafar perfectly, combining efficiency with grace and humanity. One could not ask for a better experience.

"Changed my life"

Dr. Jafar is an amazing woman. I swear she has saved my life!! I walked in her office desperate for help to change my life and I walked in the right door. With addiction having a huge stigma in society it is difficult to find a place to go where you will not be judged n treated with compassion n respect. She takes her time to listen to your needs and her care plan has given me my life back Thankyou Dr. Jafar and your staff for your excellent professional care n understanding. I am so grateful and blessed to be your patient and have found a new healthy way to live!!!

Advantages of Tele visits

Tele visits

  • Confidential phone & video calls with your Provider

  • Board-certified Providers with years of experience

  • Get treatment from the privacy of your own home

  • Telehealth may reduce the stigma of seeking Addiction treatment by allowing patients to receive care more privately without the risk of being seen in Substance Abuse Treatment facilities or Methadone Clinics.

In Person Visit to doctor's office

  • Patients often have to wait days/weeks

  • Lots of time lost in transportation to the clinic

  • Unpredictable wait times during in-person visits

  • High and often unpredictable costs

  • Pay for transportation and parking

  • Increased Stigma : friends, co-workers may see you at the Methadone clinic

FAQs about How the Process works at Medivira

  • How soon can I get an appointment at Medivira?

We offer same-day appointments at Medivira for most services including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and Suboxone treatment. Telehealth appointments are available seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In-person appointments at our Frisco, TX clinic are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM by appointment. Simply call, text, email, or fill in our online form and our team will get you scheduled as quickly as possible — often the same day.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes — completely free and with no obligation. Your free consultation is an opportunity to speak with our team, ask any questions you have about treatment, understand your insurance coverage and costs, and determine whether Medivira is the right fit for your needs. There is no pressure to continue and no commitment required. We offer this because we believe getting help should never feel financially risky.

What happens at my very first appointment?

Your first appointment is a thorough medical evaluation with Dr. Saleha Jafar, MD. She will take your full medical history, assess your symptoms and current situation, discuss treatment options, and create a personalised treatment plan. If appropriate, a prescription will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice the same day. Your first appointment is approximately 30 to 45 minutes and can be either in-person at our Frisco clinic or via secure telehealth from anywhere in Texas.

Do I need to come in person or can I do everything online?

You can do everything via telehealth if you prefer. Medivira offers secure telehealth appointments for all services — including your very first evaluation — available seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM across all of Texas. You do not need to travel to our Frisco clinic unless you choose to. If you do not have a camera on your phone, we also offer audio-only visits on request. The quality of care is identical whether you visit in person or online.

    Do you accept my insurance?

Medivira accepts most major insurance plans including United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, BCBS Texas, Texas Medicaid, and Medicare. We verify your insurance before your first visit so you know exactly what your costs will be before your appointment — no surprise bills. If you do not have insurance, our self-pay rate is $125 per visit with no memberships, no hidden fees, and no long-term commitments required.

  • Is my treatment completely confidential?

Yes. Your treatment and all communication with the Medivira team is fully confidential and HIPAA compliant. We respect your right to privacy and your information will never be shared with anyone without your explicit consent. Our telehealth platform uses secure, encrypted video and messaging. You can receive care from the privacy of your own home without anyone knowing you are seeking treatment.

Can I transfer my care from another clinic to Medivira?

Absolutely. We welcome transfer patients from any provider for any reason — no questions asked. Whether you are looking for more flexible scheduling, same-day appointments, telehealth options, a more discreet environment, or simply a doctor who takes more time to listen — we make the transfer process straightforward. You do not need to explain your reasons and there is no gap in your treatment. Bring any existing prescription information and we will take it from there.

What if I have questions after my visit or outside office hours?

Medivira provides 24/7 text message support for all patients. If you have a question about your medication, a concern about side effects, or anything else that comes up between visits or after office hours — simply text us and our team will respond. You are never left without support between appointments.

Will I always see the same doctor?

Yes. At Medivira you will always see Dr. Saleha Jafar, MD — from your very first visit through every follow-up and maintenance appointment. Dr. Jafar is the founder of Medivira and your dedicated physician. She will know your name, your history, and your treatment plan at every single appointment. You will never be passed to a rotating roster of providers.

    Is counseling or therapy required?

Medication and counseling together consistently show better outcomes than either alone, and we strongly encourage both. However at Medivira, counseling is not compulsory. We provide medication management as our primary service. If you would also like therapy, Dr. Jafar can refer you to a trusted therapist while she continues to manage your medication. The decision is always yours.

What is the difference between an in-person visit and a telehealth visit?

The clinical quality is identical. Both visit types include a full medical evaluation with Dr. Jafar, a treatment plan discussion, and a same-day prescription if appropriate. The difference is simply location — in-person visits take place at our Frisco, TX clinic at 400 Stonebrook Pkwy STE 902, while telehealth visits happen via secure video or audio call from wherever you are in Texas. Most patients find telehealth more convenient for follow-up and maintenance visits.
